Allowing the quiet that seeks to love and nourish you.

Are you finding yourself in a season of slowness right now?
Where things just seem to not be moving?
Where there’s resistance to everything you try, no matter how hard you try, you feel like you’re drowning?
Do you throw your hands up in the air, and cry, and pray, asking whatever is up there why it has to be so hard?
Do you find yourself drowning in all the things you need to do?
All the things you need to be?
All the things you need to have?

Me too.

I wrote this for myself, to remind myself its ok to be in a season where there isn’t continual growth.

Where there isn’t all day winning & blooming & evolving.

But I also wrote this for you beautiful, to remind you.

To remind you it is ok.

If you are finding yourself resisting the evident sign to slow down, please know, this time is necessary, and its just a season, and the cycle will renew itself and it will come back to your summer, where you bloom.

Becoming a mother has been such an incredible spiritual journey, and my son, my greatest teacher.

I learnt to slow down over the last 12 months more than every before, and I learnt to stop allowing the agenda & pressures of others to dictate how much I do & what I do… which was incredibly hard to voice & action.

I began this journey of stillness 2 months before he arrived.

I didnt know how to be still. I had never done that before.

I had built a life and career that was always go-go-go, do-do-do, implement-build-create-run… you know what I mean…

So when I was faced with, for the very first time, the ABSOLUTE need to stop… I crumbled & I struggled.

After 12 months of total stillness, I think I am ready to bloom. Maybe. I’m not sure.

Its been a journey, and this below is for you, to help you too.

Whether you’re in the same phase of life as me, or maybe not - maybe you’re just in a phase of life where its time to slow down, I hope it serves you.

May you find the magic in the nothing,
Until it is your time again to feel the magic in everything.

Much Love,

Chani x

————-

We’ve become so afraid to sit in the stillness of just being and not doing, that its I placed big fear within us

There are cycles we are ignoring from The Spirit World

We are forgetting the language of it all

All life needs rest and incubation

Where we reconnect with nature and sprout again in fresh form

Just as you cannot force flowers to continually bloom

The same is for all human life.

There is great value in letting go and breathing in the slow

And we must learn to remember from time to time to be like the tree, in winter.

We live in a world of great uprising in creativity, in particular us women, we are finally starting to see how powerful we are

And in a flurry we have flown into the density of “busy doing”

We’ve come to believe that the more we do, the faster we produce… and the more we become.

Our worth has become equated to what we have achieved

To be busy means to be successful

So we work tirelessly day after day trying to recreate and replicate

We are forgetting a very intricate part of the process

After we have bloomed, we must too close.

There comes a necessary time when we must journey into our inner well of wealth

The peaceful place within.

This peaceful place is the land where new dreams are born

Where new life lives

Where we can grow into more

And not from a place of need and greed, but instead from a healthy balanced place

Connected with Source and aligned with what the world is asking from us.

If we keep too busy, we forget to listen to the stirrings within and we lose touch with our purpose

And we forget true wealth comes first from nurturing the relationship within ourself.

Watching your visions take shape and go into the world is one of the sweetest manifestations of life

It fills us and gives us a sense of great purpose

We are meant to do, but we must never forget

Just as the moon grows fulls, it too, dissolves back into nothing

Taking rest in the divine darkness, because it knows it's radiance in all of its phases

Nature is our greatest teacher, but we continue to ignore the lesson she is trying to teach us.

We have become blind by success and our wanting of more

And as a result we are facing higher and higher rates of exhaustion & burnout, more than ever before

In the natural order of things, seasons change, they birth new life and then quietly returns back to sleep.

Trees that are hundreds of years old, harvest their fruit and leaves

All they brought forth turns to gold & falls gently to the earth

The tree then bears itself free & closes its eyes, bringing all of its life within its bark

And doesn’t dare to force itself to push more, because it knows that within the power in resting, lives another form of life

The life of nothing, where it sits in joy in the simplicity of its being.

When the rest comes knocking, when your inspiration feels dry or when your heart is trying to quiet you

Embrace this time

While it all swirls around you in its encompassing pace

Do not be forced into doing

Learn to honour your body’s call to rest

If the moon remained full you would never know the magic of complete darkness and the wealth that lies there.

Be the example, be the peace, be the quiet

Be the wordless person in the world for a moment

And then in time, be the bud & the bloom

Open the inspiration you found in your calm, in your empty space and in your open time

Teach others that they are too, free to rest

Remind them of the light that is reborn within and the roots that re-grounds them into the Earth

We must learn to allow one another to have this time to breath in & rest & reenergise

The time to be in all of our wondrous simplicity, with no excuse

But more importantly, we need to allow ourselves to close the blinds

And not fall for the pressure that comes knocking on our door to be more, do more, have more… all of the time

We need to allow and surrender to the magic of just being, and understand that this is where we breed new life

Allow the quite to pull you into its loving embrace & let go of any need to be more

Pause.

Take a deep breath right now as you read this, and allow your breath to be the only thing in the world that you’re concerned with

Allow the vastness of your internal world, to open right in front of you, and walk into it fully

Take a moment to recognise the peaceful rhythm within you

Feel how its filling you up with renewed peacefulness and energy

Notice how you are becoming more, by doing less

If only you could notice how much you radiate, in these still moments

I want to tell you, you are doing really well respecting the slow bloom and birth of your deepest truths

You’re doing well not to rush or criticise the cycles and flow taking place within you.

I want to tell you, you are doing really well taking great care to nurture yourself

You are doing well in loving what comes forth before you, loving all the breaks through the soil and watching it in awe

As you’re being stretched to grow new leaves

You are doing so well my love, so let this be your mantra

Let this be your new story, when you find yourself telling yourself you need to do more

Remind yourself its ok to rest

You are not wrong to want to return to the calling within your bones and the wilderness that lives inside you.

Remember as a tree looks to be asleep in the blankets of heavy snow, it is in fact incubating some of the most amazing life you will ever see

From time to time, be like the tree in winter and allow yourself the gift of complete surrender and allowing of the quiet that seeks to love and nourish you.
