Make the wraps there and then, make your own taco seasoning and dammit if you want to, I have even given you a tomato salsa sauce recipe if you want to go all out. Make fluffy scrambled eggs mixed with the seasoning + the usual additions (onion, garlic, chillies, capsicum, mushy’s, dash of milk, pinch of cheese …the works), add some avo, wilted spinach (cook in pan for 3 mins) and finish it off with your salsa, ground pepper, and you will have a return breakfast customer no doubt!
INGREDIENTS FOR WRAPS(makes two wraps)cooking time : 2 minutes
-1 tablespoon of chai sends soaked for 10 mins
-1/2 cup of almond meal OR
-1 cup of almonds if you have a thermomix
-1/2 teaspoon of raw honey
1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil to cook with
DIRECTIONS -Meal almonds in thermomix for 10 seconds on speed 7 until dusty consistency
-Heat a nonstick frying pan and heat coconut oil at a medium heat (do not over heat coconut oil)
-Mix your almond meal and all ingredients together
-Pour into pan to make thin wraps, cook one side to desired and slip to cook the other side
TACO SEASONINGUse this instead of high sodium packaged seasoning in grocery stores. Combine all together and mix in with your scrambled eggs
-1 teaspoon chili powder-1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder-1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder-1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper-1/2 teaspoon oregano-1⁄2 teaspoon paprika-11⁄2 teaspoons cumin-1⁄4 teaspoon himalayan salt- 1 teaspoon black pepper
TOMATO SALSA Prep time: 15 mins Makes a whole jar worth, lasts up to 3 weeks in fridge.
- fresh roma tomatoes (6 TOMATOES)- 5 garlic cloves- 5-10 fresh basil leaves, torn- 1 tablespoon olive oil- pinch each of pepper and Himalayan salt
DIRECTIONS- Heat a nonstick pan and add the olive oil.- Add minced garlic, being careful not to burn it. Sauté for 3 minutes.- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.- Place the sauce in your thermomix and blitz until completely smooth.-Store in airtight jars or containers in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.Addition: If you like it a little sweeter, add sun dried tomatoes and red capsicum into the blitz.
